How did the final temperature of the hot water alone compare to the other two trials? Answer: The final temperature of water did not vary greatly with the others. However the temperature of hot water alone was 52.5 °C at the end which was hotter than the other two trials which was 51 °C for the trial where cold water was added after 2 minutes and 50 °C for when cold water was added at the 12th hot water.

When taking a look at my data table and my graph you can actually have two conclusions. In the case when cold water was added to the hot water at the 12th minute, the hot water had cooled down already since it was left for 12 minutes so the cold water did not affect the content in the cup greatly. Therefore I think its best to add the cream after the 2nd minute. Even though the content in the cup cools down suddenly, when looking at it overall the content in the cup that water was added to after 2 minutes (51°C) is warmer than the cup where water was added after 12 minutes (50°C). Considering the fact that we are going to add a gold substance we should be expecting a drop in temperature.

How might you describe the cooling curve for the hot water alone? Was it linear or nonlinear? How about the cooling curve for the other trials?

Answer: The curve that is plotted for the hot water alone is a leaner line, as the line we can see is a smooth straight line. When looking at the graph we can see that the physical entities (time and temperature) are inversely proportional to each other. it shows us the one entity increases (time) as the other decreases (temperature ) .

The curve plotted for the hot water when cold was added and 2mins and 12mins could be described as an inverse tend line or nonlinear. This is due to the sudden adding of cold water onto the hot water, which makes the temperature and time have an inverse relationship.

Answer: There are many different kinds of graphs that we can use in order to plot information. A bar graph, which can  be either vertical or horizontal. Either numerical or categorical variables are labeled on axis x and axis y. According to the values, the bar’s height will be scaled. The bars in a bar graph are to be arranged in the order of frequency in order for the more important categories to be emphasized.
