1. Search the Internet or local library for “strength training and osteoporosis.” Find articles (from research or scholarly journals) to provide supporting information for an essay on the benefits of strength training on osteoporosis.
2. Create a list of five weight-bearing activities that would be beneficial for a client with osteoporosis. For each of the exercises, prepare a detailed set of instructions. Describe in detail the client’s body position, safety precautions, alternatives to compensate for limited range of motion, and any other necessary information. Anyone should be able to follow the directions with ease.

Include any contraindications to exercise that you may discover in your research and address them in your answer. Maddie was for the most part sedentary in her younger years. Discuss how this may have contributed to her present condition. In your answer include the number of days per week you will train this client, the types of exercises she will be performing, the number of sets & repetitions, and so forth in a chart. Include citations of the research you based your recommendations on and explain why you feel this is the best course of action.
