Google has a similar application called person finder that enables the user to post pertinent information about missing persons. However, when the electricity is no longer working and cell phone service is not working these circumstances represent two significant challenges related to working with social media. An emergency manager could utilize two-way radios to help search and rescue teams determine who is found and safe versus who has perished or still lost. (184 words).
