Directions: In Gartee’s Electronic Health Records on pages 469-511, read and complete Guided Exercise 69: Calculating the E&M Code from an Encounter through Guided Exercise 73: Exploring Other Factors of E&M Codes. When you have completed these exercises, you will need to save documentation to send to your instructor. You may either export to an XPS file or to a PDF file by following the instructions listed in your text.

LP9.2 Assignment: EHR System PowerPoint

Directions: You are to choose an EHR system to research using your text, scholarly articles, and the Internet. You must first obtain approval for the system through your instructor. The project must be completed as a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation will need to at minimum address the following:

  • The name of the system.
  • Is it web-based or a stand-alone product?
  • Can it be purchased in modules?
  • What is the cost?
  • Can it be upgraded?
  • Can it be integrated with a practice management system?
  • If you called the company-were they friendly and helpful?
  • Who provides the training?  Is it free?
  • Would you recommend adopting it?

Use this template to create the PowerPoint presentation which will need to contain a title slide, 6 content slides, and a conclusion.
