2. Solar energy can be used for everything from powering small calculators by using photovoltaic cells to providing electricity to cities by using concentrated solar technology to drive turbines. Given solar power’s potential, what do you think about constructing large solar farms–large areas of land with solar collectors for energy–in the Arizona and California deserts? Why? What potential dangers must be considered before acting?
